Starting a blog is almost an easy task, at least compared to the challenges of maintaining the blog i.e. making good and attractive contents on your blog. Within a little time, most bloggers begin to lose interest. This is not only due to the challenges of writing good contents but also ensuring that the readers continue to trust their content.
The prayer on every blogger’s lips is “plenty traffic”. The question is: How then can a blogger attract good and considerable traffic? There are many ways. However, the most difficult and important aspect is GOOD WRITINGS. A blog with good contents will always, with time, enjoy a “high traffic”.
Below are the tips for producing good and attractive write-ups for your blog.
1) Have the idea and passion

Having an idea is not the only factor that brings success to any initiative; it must also be back up with the zeal and desire to explore such area. Before venturing into any topic for your blog, ensure that such area that you have great idea and passion. This will help drive the desire to learn more and become an expert in that field. The subject or area must be that which you care about, and your heart feels others should care about.
2) MAKE ENOUGH RESEARCH
Before deciding to write on any area, you must have done adequate research on such area. This will make your writings authoritative, as well as increase reader’s trust and respect. If you want to be a better write, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot.
3) BE OPINIONATED AND BE BOLD
It is not advisable, and will of course be a suicide mission to write on any subject that you are yet to form an opinion on. Nobody will care about anything you do not have any opinion on. One of my own approaches is to write on an issue that gets me very angry and pondering.
More so, you should be VERY BOLD in expressing your opinion on issues. Do not be scared of what people will think about how you feel. Every single person you worry about led to deductions in the quality and originality of your write-ups. Clients, customers, friends and family will like you more if you are honest with them.
4) HAVE AN ATTRACTIVE TITLE
It’s important, not only to write good contents but to also have an attractive title to generate and drive people’s interest towards reading your write-up. Little wonder most newspapers will prefer to carry “the bad news” on the front page of their newspaper. However, “the bad news method” is not the only method available to a blogger. A title like “HOW TO BECOME A SUCCESSFUL BLOGGER” will automatically raise the interest of a reader.
A blogger should be pre-occupied with satisfying his readers. Every morning, a blogger should always ask, “what can I give my readers today that will blow their mind? What can I say that they couldn’t help but share?
5) MAKE YOUR BLOG CUTE
Apart from using nice themes that will make your blog beautiful and attractive, it’s also important to decorate each of your posts with beautiful images that will also help your readers in understanding what you have posted.
For instance, if the title of your post is on “beauty of Nigeria, it will be helpful to make use of images of some beautiful places in Nigeria.
6) DO NOT BE MONEY DRIVEN

The above is a quote from one of my favorite movies. Most bloggers are always driven by the desire to make money, and not the desire to build perfection. They end up losing sight of the whole essence of blogging. Before deciding to write on any topic, do not only consider filling your blog with posts. The most important thing is filling your blog with qualitative and incisive posts that will make your readers willing and looking forward to read more from your blog.
7) RELATE WITH, AND HELP OTHER BLOGGERS

Just like every other fields and professions, interaction is very important. A blogger should have constant interaction with other bloggers, whether they write on the similar niche or not. It is a pure fallacy, and gateway to failure to think that you know it all, and can therefore handle whatever problems that comes your way. Talk to other well-known bloggers if you have any difficulty.
You must also be willing and ready to assist other bloggers whenever they need your help. You can learn from the contents of other bloggers as well as offering useful tips to other bloggers. By doing this, you are also perfecting your own skills.
8) HAVE FUN
My personal philosophy of life is that, I do not engage in anything I don’t enjoy doing. As a blogger, you should be happy at what you are doing. You should keep writing because you feel fulfilled. You should update your blog for the pure joy of doing it rather than for the fear of filling up your blog with posts.
