Benson Chen’s Wonder Greener helps people reduce their plastic use by providing an alternative to plastic drinking straws—made from grass. He collaborates with farmers to cultivate the award-winning straws, which are free from chemicals, pesticides and heavy metals, using sustainable agricultural methods on abandoned farmland. Wonder Greener has created 1,000 jobs and replaced 600 million plastic straws. Beyond Taiwan, it also has a presence in Vietnam, the US and the UK.
