Clockenflap 2024 line-up: the festival announces its first wave of acts

The first wave of acts for Clockenflap’s 2024 edition is here, and they include two out of three headliners.

Rock icon Jack White, discovered by many through the Whites Stripes and their hit Seven Army Nation (2008), will headline the festival on Sunday, while legendary French electronic duo Air—who performed at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics—will headline on Friday. The Saturday headliner is yet to be announced.

Among the freshly announced must-sees, trailblazing DJ and producer Jamie XX should be added to everyone’s list, as well as British psychedelic pop-rockers Glass Animals. DJ Yung Singh is another not-to-miss act, as well as Japanese vocalist Yama. Visit Clockenflap’s website to get more familiar with the line-up.

What can you expect for the line-up of Clockenflap 2024?

While Clockenflap has announced on its Instagram page that the first line-up drop will be “coming really soon”, we know that we can expect exciting international names, given its previous editions have included big names such as Yoasobi, De La Soul, Swae Lee and the Arctic Monkeys.

For instance, in 2023, Clockenflap brought up some regional stars, such as Chinese musicians Leah Dou and Lexie Liu, Taiwanese singer 9m88 and South Korean indie band Balming Tiger

Finally, local names took over the different stages of the festival throughout the years. Be it NYPD, Xiaolin, Yack Studio, Cehryl, Mr Koo, DJ Mengzy, DJ Fu, Yeti Out & Friends and more: Clockenflap proved itself a powerful platform for local artists to shine in their own city.

The concerts you can warm up to until Clockenflap 2024

While people associate Clockenflap with the Clockenflap Music and Arts Festival, they’re a bit more than that. They also ensure that Hong Kong welcomes interesting artists all year long, such as Taiwanese Jazz artist 9m88 and American rapper Oddisee.

Ahead of the festival, they have also prepared some exciting events, including Japan’s very own Wednesday Campanella on October 8 at TWGHs Tung Po Kitty Woo Stadium, and Korean band Hyukoh’s joint tour with Taiwanese band Sunset Rollercoaster on November 6 at the AsiaWorld-Expo.
