Singer and songwriter
The Ingenues | She’s the daughter of renowned actor Donnie Yen and model Cissy Wang, but Jasmine Yen isn’t resting on any nepo baby laurels
Singer and songwriter Jasmine Yen has proven her exceptional musical talent. Yen started composing at the tender age of seven; in 2013, the then nine-year-old performed Adele’s Rolling in the Deep for 2,000 guests at an aunt’s wedding, with a confidence that belied her youth. In 2022, she received a scholarship to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, fulfilling an ambition she’d held since the age of 14. And in 2023, during her gap year, she signed with Sony RCA Records (Greater China region) to pursue a career in the music industry, releasing her debut single IDK that same year.
Yen, who appears in campaigns for Italian label Miss Sixty, views fashion as a means of self-expression—she’s particularly drawn to the retro aesthetic of the 1970s, embracing flared trousers, pointed ankle boots, leather jackets, and extravagant make-up and hairstyles—and says, “As I grew up, I started to really appreciate fashion as an expression of myself. It’s like a part of my identity.”
