The superstar is said to be in negotiations to buy the famed Azria Estate, which is next to her ex Diddy’s home; the news comes weeks after her filing for divorce

Jennifer Lopez is reportedly looking to buy a new home in Los Angeles weeks after splitting up with Ben Affleck.

The singer and actress is said to be in negotiations to buy the famed Azria Estate, which is located in the prestigious Holmby Hills neighbourhood and on the market for US$55 million.

Built in 1938, the Azria Estate takes up 30,000 sq ft, has 14 bedrooms and 25 bathrooms and sits on a 2.81-acre lot. It was home to and named after the late fashion designer Max Azria, who founded the brand BCBG Max Azria. It is reportedly next door to an estate owned by the rapper and record producer Sean “Diddy” Combs, which also hit the market this week; Lopez and Diddy dated in the early noughties. Azria Estate was used as a shooting location for Lopez’s 2024 film, Atlas. When it went on the market in 2021, it had a US$85 million asking price, making it one of Los Angeles’s most expensive properties at the time.

The property, which was designed by the late, legendary architect Paul Williams, merges colonial architecture and modern amenities, according to its listing on the property website Zillow. Set behind a long, gated driveway, it offers “the utmost privacy”. Amenities include a 5,500 sq ft building separate from the main house that comprises a cinema, game room and home office; an infinity pool with a sauna; a tennis court; Japanese and Mediterranean gardens and a greenhouse.

In the same month, Affleck reportedly bought a bachelor pad in Los Angeles for US$20.5 million, while Lopez was said to have sold her New York City penthouse for US$23 million.
