Amid divorce rumours with Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez has reportedly sold her luxury Manhattan penthouse, which comes complete with four bedrooms, seven-and-a-half bathrooms and a private elevator

Jennifer Lopez has reportedly sold her New York City penthouse for US$23 million.

The 6,540 sq ft home, which is a duplex, has four bedrooms, seven-and-a-half bathrooms, four terraces and a private elevator. It is located at The Whitman, a luxury apartment building originally built in 1924, in the Flatiron district in Manhattan. The home comes complete with views of Madison Square Park, as well as landmarks like the Flatiron Building and the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower.

The penthouse has been widely identified by media outlets as the singer and actress’s property. It was sold on July 24, according to the New York real estate tech platform StreetEasy. It was reportedly originally listed in 2017 and has been on and off the market since.

The news of the sale comes amid rumours of the superstar’s split with husband Ben Affleck—plus just days after he reportedly bought a bachelor pad in Los Angeles for US$20.5 million and weeks after the couple were said to have put their marital home in Beverly Hills on the market for US$68 million.

The building only has four residential units—it is reportedly also home to Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former US president Bill Clinton. Its location is described as “right at the gateway of downtown” and just steps away from “New York’s best restaurants [and] shopping”.

The penthouse listing was represented by Chris Pomeroy and Richard Orenstein of New York real estate agency Brown Harris Stevens.
