Every issue, we ask our cover star a round of rapid-fire questions that give us a little more insight into their personalities. This month: Li Na lays it bare

Which is more nerve-racking: watching a game or competing?
Watching a game. When you’re playing, you know your abilities well enough.

Long or short hair?
This is something I struggle with all the time. I want it short when I have long hair, but I want to grow my hair when it’s short. When I have straight hair, I want to perm it. When it’s curly, I want to straighten it.

A movie you’d recommend to everyone?
Lately, I’ve been watching animated movies with my children. They enjoy them and have seen them many times; so much so that they have memorised the stories.

What’s your MBTI personality type?
I took the test but I forgot the result. Likely an introvert.

Your killer summer look?
It depends on [whether I’m] at home or outside. At home, I’m pretty much naked.

Do you procrastinate?
No.

Style or comfort?
Comfort.

What item do you have the most of in your wardrobe?
T-shirts

Which is your favourite city? Why?
I once went to Dali, in southwest China. Its ambience is very different from most big cities. There, I can quiet my mind. Lhasa, in Tibet, has a similar effect, and it is a completely different area with a different culture.

Where do you see yourself in ten years’ time?
I hope I’m brave enough to continue to be myself and not be influenced by the world, no matter how many years pass.
