Paris

In this series of travel guides, we invite creatives and insiders from our global community to showcase a city through their unique lens. This time, stylist and influencer Veronica Li shares the places she frequents when she attends Paris Fashion Week

Paris has been on fire this year—from social media feeds to TV screens and newspaper headlines. The city dazzled the world with the Olympic Games and the Paralympics this summer. On the heels of that, Paris Fashion Week is unfolding in the French capital now, featuring new collections from iconic houses such as Chanel, Dior and Hermès.

A front-row seat to Paris Fashion Week isn’t necessary to experience the magic of fashion’s epicentre. Hong Kong has its very own Emily—a true fashion insider—who is taking us to France this season.

Veronica Li, a social media icon and stylist, is among the distinguished guests from our region attending the Paris shows this year. She takes us on a journey through the heart of Parisian fashion, revealing the crowd’s favourite spots. From tea houses to romantic dinners by the Eiffel Tower, Li will guide you through the most charming streets of the City of Lights and make you fall in love with Paris all over again.

“A great place to chill like the locals,” shares Veronica. It’s not just a cliché—French locals, Parisians especially, love a good glass of wine after a long week. After a stroll through one of Paris’s most charming arrondissements, Le Marais, Les Enfants du Bon Marché is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine alongside a simple yet delicious French meal. And if you’re a natural wine aficionado, be sure to add this one to your list.

Paris Fashion Week is synonymous with luxury and sophistication, but it can be easy to get caught up in a whirlwind of shows. So when Li wants to take a breather, she finds herself heading to tea boutique Sabō Ogata, which is inspired by Japanese Zen gardens.

“If I want something healthy yet luxurious, with the perfect atmosphere to savour an exquisite moment with tea, I [go to] Sabō Ogata,” shares Li. “This tea boutique is a bit of a hidden gem, but you’ll be drawn in by its charm. The only downside is that they take the ‘exquisite moment’ seriously and photography is not allowed. But trust me, you’ll feel like you’ve escaped to another time.”

Li shares how seeing the Eiffel Tower light up fills her with the energy to love life and embrace the Parisian vibe. Without a doubt, the best way to witness this magic is by embarking on a dinner cruise along the Seine.

When it comes to this experience, there are many options, but one stands out: Le VIP Paris. “It’ll make you feel like you’re in [Vincent Van Gogh’s] Starry, Starry Night painting,” says Li. With live performances, exquisite drinks, a gourmet dinner and a unique view of Paris, a two-hour cruise on Le VIP Paris is the perfect way to disconnect and indulge in Parisian dream.

This one’s for our fashionistas, our shopping lovers and everyone else looking to elevate their Instagram feed. You might have already guessed it—this cute hidden terrace is none other than Ralph Lauren’s restaurant concept.

A celebration of American cuisine, with something for both sweet and savoury lovers, the courtyard offers an Emily in Paris kind of vibe. Li calls it “a must-bookmark” for lunching with friends. The poetic shades make the hidden garden extra photogenic, perfect for fashion editorials, lifestyle shots or product photos.

“Time is tight during Paris Fashion Week,” Li says. “So, I always love to discover places where I can shop, relax, and snap some Instagram-worthy pics—all in one go. It’s about making the most of my time.” She’s drawn to L’Officine Universelle Buly, a charming shop with wooden walls, antique mirrors, combs, brushes and beauty accessories displayed in elegant glass and wood cases.

“After a little shopping session, I love to head to The Grand Café Tortoni for a café experience,” she explains. “And the best part? The backyard of the concept store offers a massage room and a studio area that immerse you in the lifestyle of the brand’s founders. It’s a whole experience!”
