1. Wutong Mountain, Shenzhen
Location: Lo Wu District
Distance: 12km
The main peak of Wutong Mountain rests at 943.7 metres above sea level, making it not only a crucial ecological barrier and Shenzhen’s green lung but also the highest seaside peak in Guangdong Province.
Wutong Mountain offers several climbing routes with varying degrees of difficulty. For starters, the route beginning from the trailhead on Xiutong Road is the most popular and it takes about two hours to reach the top of the mountain. There are multiple viewing platforms along the way, where hikers can enjoy panoramic views of Shenzhen and even get a view of Hong Kong.
