Cover Your weekly horoscope by Tatler

We have stepped through the doorway to the eclipse season. Tatler’s astrologer Casey Chan explains what it means for each star sign in our weekly horoscope column

Next week brings a renewed focus on grounding ourselves and embracing Virgo’s gifts—its logical, resourceful and reliable nature. Following this week’s Virgo New Moon, we have stepped through the doorway to the eclipse season, where the energy starts to feel unpredictable. Make use of this week to stabilise and prepare for what lies ahead (stay tuned for the Pisces lunar eclipse in the next article).

On September 8, the Sun in Virgo opposes Saturn in Pisces, highlighting a tension between what our ego-identity wants versus what might actually be good for us. This is a time to take conscious pauses and evaluate our situation through a practical and long-term lens. Trust that clarity can come from deliberate reflections.

As Mercury enters Virgo the next day, our analytical abilities sharpen. We may find ourselves more focused, allowing for clear, logical evaluations. This clarity continues until September 11, when Mercury in his home sign forms a sextile with Mars in Cancer, inspiring decisive actions.

However, on September 12, the Sun in Virgo squares Jupiter in Gemini, creating conflicting energy between the desire to stay grounded (Sun in Virgo) and the whirlwind of ideas and social energies (Jupiter in Gemini). You might feel an urge to leap into action, but if your mind starts racing, take a moment to reconnect with your body. Connecting with Virgo season’s grounded energy will help balance any overwhelming thoughts and keep you centred as you navigate the weeks ahead.
