This striking house was carved into a mountainside, with amenities and interiors that draw inspiration from elite athletes and big Hollywood names, including a Michael Jordan-themed basketball court.

Its new owners will get to enjoy sprawling living moss walls, a 3,000-square-foot roof deck, a spa equipped with a gym and sauna, a movie theatre, a candy lounge, and a spacious gated motor court with room for up to 10 luxury cars. The home’s highlights include its modern and airy architecture, completed by architecture practice Laney LA, with panoramic ocean views from every room. A home theatre, a games room, a wine cellar, a wet bar, and a private gym can be found inside, while the outdoors boast a spacious, landscaped pool terrace.

Another convenient feature? 48 solar panels were built into the abode and connected to Tesla Powerwalls—rechargeable lithium-ion batteries—making the home both energy-efficient and one-of-a-kind.

Located along North Stanley Avenue and listed by Selling Sunset agent Chrishell Stause for US$38 million, this marks the most expensive home of the season. Spanning a generous 13,000 square feet with six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, it is also renowned for its eclectic and glamorous interiors, the work of real estate group Disco Volante in collaboration with Vantage Design Group and interior designer Victoria Gillet.

Among other features, the house comes with sweeping city views, gorgeous marble floors, a double-sided onyx fireplace, and an open-concept kitchen fitted with a 20-foot island, veined onyx counters, and hand-hammered brass sinks.

Entertainment spaces aren’t missing either, the house containing a piano lounge, a home theatre, a safari-themed library, a custom bar, a games area, and an entire level dedicated to a hidden nightclub and other entertainment spaces.

5. Doheny Drive property

Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful homes to grace the screen in this season of Selling Sunset, the Doheny Drive property embodies a historic charm that’s hard to beat in a predominantly modern city like Los Angeles. The house, listed by Mary Bonnet and Jason Oppenheim, comes with five bedrooms, nine bathrooms, an area of 10,613 square feet, and a grand price tag of over US$28 million.

Discreetly tucked behind a gated driveway, the outside of the property is laid with 200-year-old reclaimed cobblestone from the streets of Boston, while the timeless, sophisticated interiors sport an open floor plan, double-height ceilings, and tall sliding glass doors that connect the indoors and outdoors.

Materials for this home were meticulously curated from all around the world, and can now be admired in the form of bronze-patinated cabinets and book-matched Calacatta marble in the kitchen, as well as the 40 slabs of Calacatta Breccia Capraia—a rare Italian marble—in the ensuite bathroom. The design of the latter drew inspiration from French interior designer Jean Michel Frank, whose style infuses the bathroom with decadent elegance.

6. The Invisible House

Considered somewhat of an iconic property in the desert, The Invisible House in Joshua Tree is coveted for both its picturesque locale and its unique architecture, admired by the Selling Sunset cast on a trip to the nearby Pioneertown.

Not as grand as some of the other houses on the show in terms of sheer size—three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a total area of 5,500 square feet—it yet lists for US$18 million thanks to the former factors.

Entirely clad in glass walls, the house brings the rugged beauty of the desert into the living spaces while providing privacy. Inside, a 100-foot pool forms the heart of this modern home.

Previously the home of TikTok personalities Charli and Dixie D’Amelio and their family, this spacious 9,267-square-foot property on Londonderry Place has four bedrooms and six bathrooms, and it was listed at close to US$12 million by Mary Bonnet and Jason Oppenheim.

The house was designed by Bo.Shi Architects to embody warm minimalism, with a mix of sleek finishes and natural materials, and a definitively contemporary ambience. Seamless connections between the indoor and outdoor spaces include the entertainment areas on the ground floor, which look out onto the landscaped pool pavilion.

Also of note are the home’s stone-clad spa bathroom, two sprawling terraces built along the private quarters, a full-size home theatre and bar, a multi-car motor court, and an elevator.
