In the current world of business, the meaning of what it is to be an entrepreneur has changed. Traditionally it was men who set up their own businesses but today, more women than ever before are setting up successful and influential companies around the world. Take for example Kathryn Parsons, Founder of Decoded, a company based in the UK that helps people learn to code. Her aim is to help the ordinary person demystify the coding process. She also trains absolute computer programming beginners how to do this in a short space of time as well as teaching people how to build a simple app.
Another example of a female entrepreneur leading the way is Elisabeth Holmes, Found of Theranos, an innovative blood testing company. She created blood tests that the ordinary person can take at home and send off to her labs to test for a variety of conditions. This works out to be much more cost-effective for the customer.
